What is it
The paint in up to eight areas of the home is tested using a chemical swab which changes color in the presence of lead.
What is does
Provides a visual indication whether the outer layer of paint contain lead or not. It does not test the layers underneath.
Why it’s important
Lead poisoning is most commonly caused by lead dust and paint chips which can be present in older homes

Families with young children who are planning on remodeling a home built before 1978
